Larry started playing dartball at 12 years old in 1963 with his dad Jack in the Church league in Door / Kewaunee County. Larry continues to this day to play in Door / Kewaunee Dartball League.

Larry’s highest average was .575 in 1975 which led the league. He also was batting champ in 1984, 1985, 1999, 2008, 2014 and 2015. Larry is the model of consistency through the years. With many years over .500 and never below .400 for 58 years of shooting thus far.

There are too many league / tournament championships to mention. Some memorable moments are in 2007 State Championship Class B. Also, that year winning 3 Man League Tournament with his two sons Andy and Mike. In 2019 Larry was on second place team Class B at the State Tournament.

He was giving the MVP Award for that team by Hall of Famer Gary “Doc” Alberts. Larry rarely missed that tournament especially on SUNDAY! Larry was and is a mentor and teacher to countless young shooters through almost 6 decades of dartball.

Larry is one of the best shooters there is shooting in the door/kewaunee league. I have played against Larry for many years now. He is a great shooter and a pleasure to shoot against. It's great when he would make it to SUNDAY at the tournaments. Also by yelling SUNDAY he definitely got his team fired up!

Larry is a very good shooter. His team is able to count on him to either get things going or get the tying/winning run in. He is fun to shoot against as I have been shooting against him for several years now since I started shooting in the Door/Kewaunee league.
