Bernard "Bud" Pfost
(Deceased) Lived in Racine.
He played in the Racine Tabor League from the 1950’s through the 1980’s, playing for 32 years. His best average was .544 in the 1984-85 season. Bud served as the Tabor League secretary for 30 years, publishing the leagues banquet booklet of final standings and averages every year during that time. He was also generally given credit for keeping the league together for 3 decades. He won his only state championship with the AMC Pacers in 1977.

Cliff Mengert
Lives in Columbus, Georgia, now is retired from playing Dartball.
He didn’t start playing Dartball until the age of 45 in 1972. He shot in the West Allis – West Milwaukee 4 and 9 man leagues, with his best average of .562 in the mid 1980’s. He won his only state championship with Pleasant View Builders in 1981. He was best known for making basswood dart boards, and helping run many 2, 4, 7, and 9 man tournaments.
His award was accepted on his behalf by his son John.
Dan Dempski
(Deceased) Lived in Manitowoc.
Started playing Dartball in the 1950’s in the Holy Name and Lakeshore Dartball Leagues. He played for over 50 years, and won over 20 high average awards, with his best year of .570 in 1985. He was on the league champion team for 19 straight years. He was also a league secretary and league officer for over 20 years, and helped run the St. Mary’s tournament for many years.
His award was accepted on his behalf by his daughter Nancy.
Dan Redig
Lives in Appleton.
Started playing Dartball in 1974 at the age of 10 years old. He has played in the Interdenominational League, the Manitowoc County League, and now plays in the Oshkosh Leagues. Always one of the top average shooters, he has won multiple individual awards, and he has batted over .600 at least once in every league he has played in, including his best season ever of .639 in the Oshkosh League in 2014-15. He has played on 6 state class A champions, with Chissy’s Pub, Sportsman’s Lanes, and 4 times with Pete & Sons. Gumby as he is commonly known, has also served as league treasurer and team captain.
Dave Wishau
(Deceased) Lived in Racine.
Played in the Racine Tabor League for 32 years. A consistent .500 plus average shooter, he won 19 batting championships and 20 high RBI titles, helping his team to win 20 league championships. Dave also won 3 state championships with the: AMC Pacers, Binder Plumbing, and The Dartball News.
His award was accepted on his behalf by his daughter Becky.
Dennis Zess
Lives in Milwaukee.
Started playing Dartball at the age of 13 in Milwaukee, he has played in many of the Milwaukee area leagues for over 61 years. Dennis has been an avid contributor to the game of Dartball, as a sponsor of many teams over 30 years as a tavern owner. He also ran many tournaments. He is also a consistent .500 plus shooter, with his best season average of .595.
Rick Klabunde
Lives in Two Rivers.
Started playing Dartball in 1968 at the age of 21. Has played in the Cool City League, the Manitowoc County League, the Lakeshore Dartball League, and the St. Marks couples league. He finished in the top 5 for league average and RBI’s over 35 times. His best average was .575 in 1976. This will be his 39th straight State tournament, and he been on 9 state championship teams: 7 with Sauve’s in class A, 1 with Sauve’s in class B, and 1 with Hallman Lindsay in class B. Rick has also been a league president and vice president, as well as helping run league and state tournaments in Manitowoc.
Wade Kleinhans
Lives in Sheboygan Falls.
Started playing dartball in 1963 at the age of 16 in a church league. He has played for over 50 years in the Interdenominational League. He also has played for many years in the Monday night couples league. One of the his league’s top hitters every year, he had many years over .550, with a career best .639 in the 2006-07 season. He has worked as a league director and officer, ran a tournament for many years, and also served on the state committee. Wade was on 2 state class A champion teams, in 1993 and 2003.
