David "Butch" Kiesow

Lives in Oshkosh, WI.

Began playing Dartball with his Dad at the age of 13 in 1983 in the St. Vincent’s Thursday Night League, and in the Sacred Heart Friday night league, which he still plays in.  He served as the league statistician for a few years in the 80’s and 90’s. He has also played in the 4-man league and the Monday night leagues in Oshkosh. Butch hit for a high average for many years, including batting over .600 five seasons. His highest was .640 in 1990 in the Monday league. He has been on many tournament and league championship teams, and won over a dozen high league and team honors. Butch won his first class A state championship in 1990 with the Oshkosh Castaways team, and has won 6 class A state championships with Pete & Sons.

Don Lee Happel

(Deceased) Lived in Kiel, WI.

Began playing Dartball in 1955 with his Dad on the church team at the age of 14.  He played in the Interdenominatioal League since 1955, as well as playing for over 55 years in the Manitowoc County League, where he hit his highest season average of .590.  He was a team captain at the state tournament for over 50 years, winning a Class B state championship in 1993 with Sportsmen Club from Collins. He also served as the vice president of Manitowoc County League for over 30 years.

George Nowak

(Deceased) Lived in the Waukesha area.

Started playing Dartball in 1956 after returning from serving in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He played at a high level from 1957 to 2005, with a career average of around .520 in the Waukesha Kettle Moraine Church Dartball League. He was a team manager for over 40 years, and also served as the league President and treasurer for many years. His team won 30 league championships and he won 18 high average titles. 

Was on two teams that finished 2nd in class A at state (1957 & 1994).

Gordy Wendorf

(Deceased) Lived in Waukesha, WI.

Played Dartball from 1948 through 1978. Played in the Northside Lutheran and West Allis Classic leagues, and played for the Slaske Cyclones and Allen-Bradley tournament teams. Was captain of the Allen-Bradley team that won state championships in 1954, 57, 58, 61 & 63. Gordy also won numerous batting titles in the Northside League. Had a lifetime average of 520 to 540. Later in his Dartball career, he was a mentor to a kids team; several of them went on to become Hall of Fame players. Gordy is the son of Charlie Wendorf, and Uncle to Mike Wendorf. Both are in the Dartball H.O.F.
