The Wisconsin Dartball State Committee met on October 4, 2025. Here are the key items from the meeting:

Next State tournament is in Wausau April 11 & 12, 2026. In 2027 it will be in Wisconsin Dells. In 2028 it will be in LaCrosse.

State tournament capacity will be limited by the size of the building the event is held at. Cut off for teams will no longer go by the date the entry is received, it will go by team average. Higher team averages will get priority. The entry deadline for the state 9 man tournament will be March 1 going forward. Any player that doesn't play in a league or hasn't played in a few years will be given a .350 average. 

At the state 9 man and 4 man tournaments, there will no longer be breaks between games. In the past we have tried to limit the breaks to 10 minutes, but it isn't always followed, hard to enforce, and can result in sets taking longer than they should, so it was decided to eliminate breaks between games.

In the state 9 man tournament, in the A division, a team that wins it's first match, but loses it's 2nd match, will go into the consolation bracket and play the other teams that are 1-1 in the tournament. This will only add 4 games overall. 

In the state 4 man tournament, after the final matches, we will ask the teams that played in that match to help cleanup and put away their board and lights. There will be someone there to coordinate where things go, but it will help with the manpower needed after the tournament. The state 4 man will be at the Oshkosh arena for at least 3 more years.

Hall of Fame nominations will be voted online by the committee. The due date for HOF nominations is March 1. If you nominate someone, please give as much Dartball information for the player as you can. 

The next in person state meeting will be September 26, 2026 in Stevens Point.

The World Series of Dartball has started this year, but even if your team missed the first tournament, we have room for 16 teams in each of the next 2 tournaments.

I am pleased to announce a new app for Dartball.  It is called Dartball Fan Zone.  The purpose of the app is to give access to a lot of the information already on the state website but in a much easier to use format.  The website will remain available as there is much more information on the website and the website will still be used to manage your leagues and tournaments.  

The Fan Zone is available right now on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

You can find your favorite leagues, teams and players and then mark them as a Favorite for quick access in the future.  There even is something in the app you will not find on the website.  You can look up a player and see all the past leagues/teams they have played on and see their average.  You can also see all the tournaments they have played in and their average.  You can also look for upcoming tournament information as well as past tournaments.  Follow the brackets for the tournament and the round robin schedule if it exists, see the game tracker, check out the results, and see stats.  Also you can now see a list of Teams registered for the tournament and the players on the roster.  This allows you to find out which bracket your team is in very easily by searching for the team name or player name.

Share the information about this app with friends and family that are always asking you how you are doing.  They can follow along live or check on past results.

Good news, there will be a couple of concession stands at the Arena that will accept cash. 

The new Bracket B is now live.  To support the number of boards and time slots we have it has been generated the way we have in the past where there are 24 first round matches.  

The matches are being updated as we speak with times and boards.  This may take some time and may end up changing. 

They should be finalized by Friday so until then IGNORE them.  We will make another post when the times and boards are final.

I am still finalizing how to draw out the last round or two but that will not change anything that is currently there.  It is just a drawing issue.

We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience but we need to re-do the Class B bracket as there was a miscalculation of timing of the matches so it was not possible to get all the matches scheduled appropriately.  I am hoping that I can have the bracket done late Wednesday evening.  We will let you know when the bracket is ready.

The brackets are now being created in a new format.  We are now running them the same way as printyourbrackets.com and other websites and apps like Scoreholio.

The change was made so that we are consistent with how other tournaments are run.  This means there are 1st round byes only and no more later round byes.

If your team has a first round bye and then loses the 2nd round match (your first of the tournament) then you will move over to the Consolation side of the bracket where your team would have gone if you had played and lost the first round match. 

If your team has a first round bye and then wins the 2nd round match then the bye goes into the Conoslation side of the bracket  where your team would have gone if you had played and lost the first round match.

We are still looking for 3 women's teams to fill their bracket. The cut-off to register is this Saturday. 

I have the old wisconsindartball.com and wisdartball.com url addresses now transferred over.  So if you do not like the new dartballwi.com url you can go back to using the one you like better.  This also means that links provided by Google (and others) searches will now work again.

Statistician:  I have create a new page (link on top navigation bar of website) called Statistician.  This page will be where all further communications about updates and issues will be posted.  You may check the page whenever you want and you can also subscribe to the page to receive an email.  This will reduce emails to those that do not use the Statistician App.
