State Tournament Info
The state tournament is only a couple of days away!! Here is some info to help you navigate the weekend.
Brackets have been posted online for awhile already. Please double check your starting time.
You will enter into the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds by Parkview Elementary School. There will be signs directing you to the parking area. The buildings we are using are on the southeast side of the fairgrounds. We will have a couple of folks helping to get everyone parked to maximize our space. You must park on the blacktop. Do not park in the grass areas. There will be limited parking right infront of the buildings. If you have someone who is unable to walk well, you can drop them off at the front doors and then proceed to the parking area.
The tournament will be played in two buildings. The L.E. Phillips building is the larger of the two. There will be about 20 boards in this building along with a beverage area. The hall of fame ceremony will also take place in this building. Custer Collesium is right next door and will have additional playing boards, shootoff boards, and concessions. There is a very small bathroom in Custer Collesium but there are also bathrooms in a building across from the playing venues. It is very close by and much larger.
There are no practice darts before any match. There will be 8 shoot off boards available. These will be located in the Custer Collesium. You are allowed 1 round of shoot off each time. You must re-enter the line if you wish to do the shoot off again.
Matches are to start on time if the board is available. All boards will be used for each round, so there are no extra boards available. Please limit breaks between games to 5 minutes, to help keep the tournament running on time.
All game scoring will be done for each match on electronic tablets provided. Please score games accurately and completely. These will be connected to the Wisconsin Dartball website, which will show scores and advance teams in the brackets as matches are completed. Please refer to the brackets on the website to see the teams advancing.
No carry ins are allowed at the tournament. There will be a beverage area in each building and concessions in Custer Collesium. There will be some inside seating available near the concessions and there will also be picnic table seating outside. The forecast right now is calling for 55 and sunny at Saturday, so using the outside space will help us with the inside space. No smoking inside the buildings, but you can outside.
Travel safe and can't wait for everyone to join us in Chippewa Falls!

World Series of Dartball
SOMETHING NEW!
Introducing the 9-man World Series of Dartball Tournaments. This is a 4 tournament series of Dartball Tournaments. The dates were selected to not interfere with existing tournaments. The idea is you accumulate points for each win and tournament place. After each tournament, there will be a "power rankings" posted. In order to be in the rankings, you must participate in one of the tournaments. Obviously the more tournaments you participate in, the more points you can accumulate. We are currently only taking entries for the entire series at this time. $200 gets you entered into the first 3 tournaments: October 12, 2024 in Watertown, January 11, 2025 in Eau Claire, and March 8, 2025 in Green Bay. Open to the first 16 teams to sign up. Each tournament will be a one day tournament, the same format for each tournament. Games will start at 9:30 am with a pool play round. Then at 1:30pm, all teams will play in bracket play, 2 out of 3 games. Where you finish in pool play will determine what bracket you play in that day. Groups of 4. All teams will play all day, and all games will mean points toward the overall series standings. The pool play brackets will be determined at the first tournament, so you will have different pool teams at each tournament. The overall winner at each tournament will win $100 and a team plaque.
The 4th tournament in the series is the state tournament, which will require you to enter and play the state tournament like you normally would. After the state tournament, the series winner and top places will be crowned. First place is individual plaques and $500. 2nd gets plaques and $450. 3rd gets $400, 4th: $350, 5th: $300, 6th: $200, 7th: $150, 8th $100.
To enter, sign up online under the first tournament, held in Watertown on October 12, 2024. Enter your team roster. Once a player plays with a team in any of the 3 tournaments, he must stay with that team for the first 3 tournaments. Checks ($200) are payable to Scott Peterson or you can venmo him: @Petespackers. Entry deadline for the series is September 15. After that each individual tournament will be open to any teams wanting to play. All 3 tournaments will be capped at only 16 teams, so once it is full no more teams will be accepted.
if you have questions, please call or text Scott Peterson at 920-655-8348.

State Tournament Brackets Released
The brackets for the 84th annual state 9-person tournament are officially posted. Please check the bracket for your starting time. With the abnormal number of teams in class C and womens, some starting times had to be changed from previous tournaments to account for the amount of time between games and the number of teams playing at each time slot. First round matchups are randomly drawn by a computer. Specific board numbers will be assigned at a later time. If any updates are made to times, I will send out a message to let everyone know.

State Tournament Update
The registration deadline for the 2024 state tournament is two weeks away. Currently we have 85 mens teams and 12 womens teams registered, however not all of those have paid up to this point. Remember you are not officially in the tournment until payment and registration is received. I am including a link to a live document that will get updated as registrations and payments are received. If you pay via Venmo, this goes to our treasurer and he currently is on vacation so it takes a few days before I record that the payment was received. No Venmo pyaments sent after Wednesday have been recorded yet. If there is an error please contact me and I will make sure to correct it.

State Shirt Orders
The link below will take you to the store for shirt orders for the state tournament. The store is open until March 3rd at midnight. All shirts ordered can be picked up at the state tournament. There will be very limited sizes and quantity available at the tournament site. If you want a shirt, please order ahead of time. One cool feature of the shirts this year are the backs which include all the state champions in each division.
